Histocompatibility Antigens

More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: A group of antigens that includes both the major and minor histocompatibility antigens. The former are genetically determined by the major histocompatibility complex. They determine tissue type for transplantation and cause allograft rejections. The latter are systems of allelic alloantigens that can cause weak transplant rejection.  GEN or unspecified only; prefer specifics but for humans, use HLA ANTIGENS; /genet permitted but consider also MAJOR HISTOCOMPATIBILITY COMPLEX
Examples Histocompatibility Antigens Class I; Histocompatibility Antigens Class II; HLA Antigens; Minor Histocompatibility Antigens
Other names Transplantation Antigens; Antigens, SD; Antigens, LD; Antigens, Histocompatibility; Antigen, Histocompatibility; SD Antigens; Histocompatibility Antigen; Antigens, Transplantation; LD Antigens
