Definition: Substances that possess antiestrogenic actions but can also produce estrogenic effects as well. They act as complete or partial agonist or as antagonist. They can be either steroidal or nonsteroidal in structure.  do not confuse with SELECTIVE ESTROGEN RECEPTOR MODULATORS
