More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: A group of enzymes including those oxidizing primary monoamines, diamines, and histamine. They are copper proteins, and, as their action depends on a carbonyl group, they are sensitive to inhibition by semicarbazide. EC 1.4.3.6.      Other names Histaminase; Diamine Oxidase; Semicarbazide Sensitive Amine Oxidase; Oxidase, Xylylene Diamine; Oxidase, Semicarbazide-Sensitive Amine; Oxidase, Diaminobenzidine; Oxidase, Diamine; Oxidase, Copper-Containing Amine; Oxidase, Copper Amine; Diamine Oxidase, Xylylene; Copper-Containing Amine Oxidase; Amine Oxidase, Semicarbazide-Sensitive; Amine Oxidase, Copper Containing; Amine Oxidase, Copper; Semicarbazide-Sensitive Amine Oxidase; Xylylene Diamine Oxidase; Diaminobenzidine Oxidase; Copper Amine Oxidase; Amine Oxidase, Copper-Containing
