More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: A subtype of non-receptor protein tyrosine phosphatases that is characterized by the presence of an amino-terminal FERM domain, an intervening region containing five different PDZ domains, and a carboxyl-terminal phosphatase domain. In addition to playing a role as a regulator of the FAS RECEPTOR activity this subtype interacts via its PDZ and FERM domains with a variety of INTRACELLULAR SIGNALING PROTEINS and CYTOSKELETAL PROTEINS.      Other names Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase, Non Receptor Type 13; Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase BAS; Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1E; Phosphatase BAS, Protein-Tyrosine; Protein-Tyrosine Phosphatase BAS; Protein-Tyrosine Phosphatase 1E; Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase, Basophil Like; Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase BL
