Oxyntomodulin

Definition: A 37-amino acid peptide derived from the C-terminal of GLICENTIN. It is mainly produced by the INTESTINAL L CELLS. Oxyntomodulin can reduce digestive secretions, delay gastric emptying, and reduced food intake.      Other names Proglucagon (33-69); Glicentin (33-69)
