More information in Books or onNLM PubMed
Definition: This enzyme catalyzes the transacylation of malonate from MALONYL CoA to activated holo-ACP, to generate malonyl-(acyl-carrier protein), which is an elongation substrate in FATTY ACIDS biosynthesis. It is an essential enzyme in the biosynthesis of FATTY ACIDS in all BACTERIA.      Other names Transferase, Malonyl CoA; Transacylase, Malonyl; S-Malonyltransferase, Acyl-Carrier Protein; Malonyl Coenzyme A Acyl Carrier Protein Transacyla; Malonyl CoA ACP Transacylase; CoA Transferase, Malonyl; Acyl Carrier Protein S Malonyltransferase; Malonyl-CoA-ACP-Transacylase; Malonyl Transacylase; Malonyl Coenzyme A-Acyl Carrier Protein Transacyla; Malonyl Coenzyme A Transferase; Malonyl CoA Transferase; (Acyl-Carrier-Protein) S-Malonyltransferase; (Acyl-Carrier-Protein) Malonyltransferase
