Transcription Factor TFIIIB

Definition: One of several general transcription factors that are specific for RNA POLYMERASE III. TFIIIB recruits and positions pol III over the initiation site and remains stably bound to the DNA through multiple rounds of re-initiation by RNA POLYMERASE III.      Other names TFIIIB, Transcription Factor; TFIIIB alpha; Factor TFIIIB, Transcription; Factor IIIB, Transcription; Transcription Factor IIIB; TFIIIB-beta; TFIIIB-alpha; TFIIIB
