Bordetella bronchiseptica

Definition: A species of BORDETELLA that is parasitic and pathogenic. It is found in the respiratory tract of domestic and wild mammalian animals and can be transmitted from animals to man. It is a common cause of bronchopneumonia in lower animals.  infection: coord IM with BORDETELLA INFECTIONS (IM)
