Malpighian Tubules

Definition: Slender tubular or hairlike excretory structures found in insects. They emerge from the alimentary canal between the mesenteron (midgut) and the proctodeum (hindgut).  in intestines of arthropods; "malpighian" is not capitalized in titles or translations    Other names Tubules, Malpighian
