Definition: The developmental entity of a fertilized egg (ZYGOTE) in animal species other than MAMMALS. For chickens, use CHICK EMBRYO.  use for non-mammalian embryo as an entity or as tissue; use the qualifier / embryol with an organ for embryologic aspects of that organ; embryonic tissue or cells in tissue & cell cultures: coordinate EMBRYO, NONMAMMALIAN + tissues or cell without qualif
