Blood Group Antigens

Definition: Sets of cell surface antigens located on BLOOD CELLS. They are usually membrane GLYCOPROTEINS or GLYCOLIPIDS that are antigenically distinguished by their carbohydrate moieties.  human or animal; blood group of animal: coord animal /blood (not /immunol) (IM) + BLOOD GROUP ANTIGENS (IM); blood group in a disease: coord BLOOD GROUP ANTIGENS or specific blood group (IM) + disease /blood (IM), not /immunol nor /genet
