Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 2

Definition: A high-affinity, low capacity system y+ amino acid transporter with strong similarity to CATIONIC AMINO ACID TRANSPORTER 1. The two isoforms of the protein, CAT-2A and CAT-2B, exist due to alternative mRNA splicing. The transporter has specificity for the transport of ARGININE; LYSINE; and ORNITHINE.      Other names Transporter, CAT-2B; Transporter, CAT-2A; Transporter, CAT-2; Transport Protein, CAT-2; CAT 2B Transporter; CAT 2A Transporter; CAT 2 Transporter; CAT 2 Transport Protein; CAT 2 Gene Product; Solute-Carrier Family 7 (Cationic Amino Acid Trans; SLC7A2 Protein; Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 2B; Cationic Amino Acid Transporter 2A; CAT-2B Transporter; CAT-2A Transporter; CAT-2 Transport Protein; CAT-2 Gene Product; ATRC2 Transporter; CAT-2 Transporter
