They are differentiated from ADDRESSES [PUBLICATION TYPE] which are less didactic and more informational, entertaining, inspirational, or polemic. (From Random House Unabridged Dictionary, 2d ed)  this heading is used as a Publication Type; usually for instruction; do not confuse with the Publication Type ADDRESSES; CATALOG: publication type LECTURE NOTES is also available
