Postoperative Hemorrhage

Definition: Hemorrhage following any surgical procedure. It may be immediate or delayed and is not restricted to the surgical wound.  IM; do not confuse with BLOOD LOSS, SURGICAL which is perioperative; coord with specific type of hemorrhage (IM) or specific type of surg (IM); see note on HEMORRHAGE for additional instructions on coords; DF: POSTOP HEMORRHAGE
