Definition: Disorders characterized by physical or psychological symptoms that are not real, genuine, or natural.  differentiate from SOMATOFORM DISORDERS: factitious are phys or psychol sympt under voluntary control, somatoform are phys sympt linked to psychol factors but not under voluntary control
