Definition: A disease of cattle caused by bacteria of the genus BRUCELLA leading to abortion in late pregnancy. BRUCELLA ABORTUS is the primary infective agent.  in cattle only: if transmitted to man, use BRUCELLOSIS for the human; don't forget also CATTLE (NIM) & check tag ANIMALS    Other names Bang's Disease; Disease, Bang's; Disease, Bang; Brucelloses, Bovine; Bovine Brucellosis; Bovine Brucelloses; Bangs Disease; Bang Disease
